The highlight of the weekend was without doubt the hike through Tonquani gorge. It is through a narrow gorge and in many cases there is no other way but to go through the water.
Tania had organised this as a camping weekend, people present were the Herwegs, the Robinsons and the Müller's. Its always a pleasure to camp there where the camp wardens see to it that the noise is kept down and they are seen to enforce the rules regarding playing music.
Saturday all of us went into the Tonquani gorge at the bottom end and had our feet almost immediately in water. We proceeded past the entrance to Cederberg gorge and up to the bolder choke where a swim was compulsory. Going back we took
Cederberg gorge and excited somewhere near the Perdekopgrotto.Sunday morning was for swimming in the West pools.
